Kenmore Mercy Hospital has served Buffalo’s northern suburbs since its founding by the Sisters of Mercy in 1951. Today, the 184-bed hospital continues to meet the changing needs of the local community and beyond. Specializing in orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation care, Kenmore Mercy features a dedicated Knee & Hip Center, an inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Unit (MRU), and on-campus subacute (post-hospital) and outpatient physical rehabilitation services. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including 24-hour emergency care, Joint Commission-accredited stroke services, specialized neurosurgery and critical care services, and a number of diagnostic and treatment services. A national leader in quality and patient safety, Kenmore Mercy has earned 20 consecutive “A” Safety Grade ratings from the Leapfrog Group, making it one of only 36 hospitals in the country, and the only one in New York State, to earn this distinction.
