Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus
2605 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14225
Founded by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph, St. Joseph Hospital in Cheektowaga, NY, had served the eastern suburbs of Buffalo for nearly 50 years before becoming a campus of Sisters of Charity Hospital in 2009. For more than a decade, St. Joseph Campus continued to meet the medical needs of the local community until Catholic Health transitioned it into the nation’s first dedicated COVID-19 inpatient treatment facility in 2020. Throughout the pandemic, the hospital served patients across Western New York and became a national model for providing the highest quality COVID-19 care. In 2021, St. Joseph Campus made another transition, becoming a center for outpatient surgery and ambulatory care. Today, the campus features 24-hour emergency care, a growing outpatient orthopedic surgery program, a Metabolic Center for Wellness, endoscopy/gastrointestinal services (GI), and a sleep disorder center.
To meet the region’s need for inpatient substance-use treatment, Catholic Health opened a second Clearview Treatment Services location at St. Joseph Campus in 2023. Clearview provides group counseling, one-on-one sessions, and medication-assisted treatment. This program includes the insights and services of a clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, primary care doctor, RNs, and primary counselors.
